Terms of use
Last updated 13 October 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and Bradford Lumley, doing business as ref(health) consulting, a sole proprietorship in Tennessee, USA, which operates MSP Billing Sentinel ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use it for a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept them for that company. The service is for business use by people aged 18 or over.
What the service is
MSP Billing Sentinel compares the time entries in a PSA export with the invoices in an accounting export and lists work that appears to be unbilled. It works only on the files you upload. It does not connect to, log in to, or write to your PSA or accounting system.
Estimates, not advice
Results are estimates produced by matching rules that can be wrong, and they depend on the quality of the files you provide. Draft invoice files are drafts for a person to review before any use. Nothing in the service is accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. You are responsible for checking every finding before you bill or rely on it.
Your account
You must give a working email address and confirm it to use paid features. Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and you must tell us promptly if you think it has been misused.
Your data
You keep all rights in the files you upload and in the results. You give us permission to process them only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy page. You confirm you have the right to upload them, including the right to share your clients' information with a service provider, and that they contain no patient or other regulated health information. We do not sign business associate agreements and the service is not for protected health information. MSP Billing Sentinel is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, HaloPSA, ConnectWise, Intuit (QuickBooks), Xero or Stripe; those names are used only to say which file formats we read.
Free preview
Without a paid plan you can run the demo and see totals and a limited number of tickets. We may change or end the free preview at any time.
Plans, payment and renewal
Paid plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically each month at the price shown when you subscribe, until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe and we never see your full card number. Prices are shown before any applicable tax. We will give you at least 30 days' notice, by email, of a price increase for your plan.
You can cancel at any time from Manage billing on the dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep paid access to the end of the period you have paid for. If a payment fails we may retry it, and we may limit your account to the free tier if it stays unpaid.
Money-back guarantee
If you subscribe and the audits you run on your own data find no unbilled work, we will refund your first payment in full. To qualify: email us within 30 days of that first payment; you must have run at least one audit on your own PSA and accounting exports (not just the demo) for a period covering at least 30 days, and those audits must show no unbilled work (a total of $0); and it applies once per customer, to the first payment only. Your subscription then ends. Apart from this guarantee, fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it or where we agree otherwise in writing.
Acceptable use
Do not attack, overload or probe the service or other users, try to get around plan limits, upload malware, or use the service unlawfully. Do not resell access to the service except as your plan allows (the Agency plan lets you produce reports for your own clients). We may suspend or end an account that breaks these rules.
Our rights
We own the service, its software and its design. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while you have an account. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. We may end the service; if we do, we will give paying customers reasonable notice and a prorated refund of any prepaid, unused period.
Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE GIVE NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING ABOUT ACCURACY OF RESULTS, COMPLETENESS, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limit of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST OR UNBILLED INCOME, LOST DATA, OR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD IT COULD HAPPEN. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Indemnity
You will cover our reasonable costs arising from a third-party claim that the data you uploaded, or your use of the service, broke the law or someone else's rights.
Ending your account
You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend your account for a breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive ending (payment, data, disclaimer, liability, indemnity, general terms) do. After your account ends we delete your data as the Privacy page describes; export what you need first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a significant change we will email account holders at least 14 days before it applies. If you keep using the service after that date, you accept the new terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about them or the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Tennessee, and each side consents to those courts. Before starting a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it.
General
These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your account or these terms without our written consent; we may transfer them as part of a sale of the business. Neither side is liable for delay caused by events outside its reasonable control. We may give you notices by email to your account address, and you may give us notices at the contact address below.
